About the role#
The Baltimore MEP team is looking for a part-time Electrical Engineering Intern. This role provides hands-on experience working alongside senior staff on real projects. You will build technical and professional skills while participating in our Developing Professionals Network for mentorship and networking.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks to develop technical and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of electrical engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Maintain project documentation and complete assigned training.
- Follow company policies, including the Code of Conduct and safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Electrical Engineering Bachelor or related undergraduate program, graduating May 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Interest in electrical infrastructure and a desire to advance your skills.
- Competent communication skills and the ability to take direction from leadership.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Preferred: Enrollment in a power distribution course or related Master program, experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and SKM, and prior internship or leadership experience.

- Location: Baltimore, Maryland.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $19 to $30 per hour.
