About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in our Freeport, Maine office. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects within our Power and Energy team. This position is available for the Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 terms. Please note that we do not provide relocation or housing assistance for this role.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build your technical and professional skills.
- Learn basic principles of Civil Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training modules.
- Follow company policies, including the Code of Conduct and safety guidelines.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You are currently enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Your anticipated graduation date is August 2027 or later.
- You have authorization to work in the United States.
- You are comfortable taking direction from managers and mentors.
- You possess basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- We prefer candidates enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Prior internship experience or leadership roles on campus are a plus.

- Compensation: $22.17 to $28.85 per hour.
