About the role#
Windsor Engineers is looking for a civil engineering student or recent graduate to join our infrastructure team in Ridgefield, Washington. This internship is open to both part-time and full-time schedules, with a minimum requirement of 20 hours per week. You will gain experience in municipal infrastructure consulting, working alongside our engineers to support water and wastewater projects.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate core values of The Right Attitude, Ownership, and Constant Improvement.
- Assist with project design and analysis using AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and other design tools.
- Participate in field surveys and gather project data.
- Prepare and review technical documents, design calculations, reports, and presentations.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress, ensure proper installation, and perform quality control.
- Work closely with civil engineers and assist with project coordination.
- Attend and engage in project and company meetings.
What you'll need#
- Recent graduate or senior working toward a bachelor degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline. An ABET-accredited degree is preferred.
- Drafting experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and Revit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites.
- Ability to work in outdoor field conditions and construction environments.
- Optional experience in environmental and water quality sampling or process/mechanical piping design is a plus.
