About the role#
WhiteWater is hiring a Civil-Structural Engineering Intern for a four month term starting January 4, 2027. Based in our Richmond, British Columbia office, you will work under the guidance of a Professional Engineer registered in BC. This is a full-time, paid position focused on supporting our Engineering Services department with design documentation and continuous improvement projects.
What you'll do#
- Review structural drawings to identify pre-engineered manufactured parts.
- Transition existing designs from legacy systems into our PLM database.
- Analyze international material standards and perform calculations to propose substitutions.
- Mark up drawings to identify parts for PLM setup and ensure compliance with file storage protocols.
- Maintain and rework existing parts, assemblies, and drawings.
- Create CAD models, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Material.
- Assist with the analysis of structural design elements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Civil Engineering degree or diploma.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 drawing standards is considered an asset.
