About the role#
This is a learning position designed to help you apply classroom knowledge to real business projects. You will support Lean initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, sales margins, and operating expenses. You will work alongside a mentor to complete assigned projects and present your results to the team. This role offers the chance to interact with various functional areas and gain experience in a corporate environment.
What you'll do#
- Identify and remove process waste by working with employees at all levels.
- Start and maintain sustainable process improvement activities.
- Provide technical support and hands-on training.
- Formalize continuous improvement activities to drive Lean methodology.
- Lead or participate in Value Stream events, including current and future state mapping.
- Create performance metrics for Lean processes and track savings.
- Report the financial impact of improvements to the Leadership Team.
- Build communication tools to support a Lean culture.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and suppliers on improvement projects.
- Suggest changes to equipment and working conditions to boost efficiency.
- Maintain quality records.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program.
- Academic focus in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or a related field.
