About the role#
The Quantitative Analytics Summer Internship in Applied Computational Intelligence offers PhD candidates the chance to apply advanced AI and machine learning to complex financial challenges. This 10-week program combines hands-on project work with mentorship, technical training, and exposure to senior leadership. You will work alongside experienced quantitative professionals to develop solutions that support business strategy, risk management, and customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Develop AI-powered advisors and decision support systems to generate insights and recommendations.
- Build Generative AI assistants and intelligent agents to support employees and customers.
- Design and deploy agentic AI and multi-agent systems to automate customer service and operational processes.
- Create enterprise knowledge intelligence platforms using RAG, LLMs, and multimodal AI.
- Advance enterprise AI through model training, evaluation, optimization, and deployment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date after December 2027.
- Strong programming experience with tools such as Python, Go, C++, Rust, Java, or Spark.
- Hands-on experience developing machine learning and AI solutions in research, academic, or industry environments.

- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks).
- Modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
