About the role#
Watts Water Technologies is looking for a Research and Technology Co-Op to join our team in North Andover, Massachusetts. This full-time, paid position offers students the chance to work on next-generation valve technologies, mechatronic solutions, and data analytics. You will work under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Research and Technology while gaining exposure to the professional engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Conceptualize and simulate new product solutions.
- Design and develop new prototypes.
- Run experiments and test various product concepts.
- Process and analyze data collected from prototypes and auxiliary systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and shadow professionals to understand engineering workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program at an accredited college.
- A GPA between 3.0 and 4.0.
- Familiarity with at least one of the following: mechanical design, mechatronics, analytics, fluids, electronics, or data science.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Arduino.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a self-starter mindset.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Interest in drinking water solutions and learning about Watts Water Technologies.
Location & details#
- Location: North Andover, Massachusetts.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You will be expected to work in the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
- Employment Type: Full-time, rolling term.
