About the role#
As a Production Engineer Intern, you will join the Quality and Production Engineering team in Fort Worth, Texas. This summer 2027 internship focuses on improving production efficiency and optimizing workflows. You will work directly with Production Engineers, cross-functional teams, and factory floor operators to support operational excellence.
What you'll do#
- Support Production Engineers with project execution and daily operational tasks.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Sustaining Engineering, and Production Supervisors to meet project goals.
- Design and develop fixturing and tooling solutions.
- Create and revise factory floor layouts to improve space and workflow.
- Engage with production cells and operators on the factory floor.
- Analyze cycle times for assemblies and unit production to identify bottlenecks.
- Measure and document the results of implemented changes.
- Identify process inefficiencies and communicate findings.
- Take on additional projects and duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong sense of accountability and a commitment to integrity.
- Ability to adhere to safety practices, policies, and regulations.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment testing.
- Familiarity with CAD software for design or layout (preferred).
- Exposure to manufacturing processes (preferred).
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods (preferred).

- Compensation: $22-$26 per hour.
