About the role#
As a Production Engineer Intern, you will join the Quality and Production Engineering team in Fort Worth. This role focuses on improving production efficiency, factory layouts, and manufacturing processes. You will work on-site, gaining hands-on experience by supporting project execution and daily operational tasks. This internship is a full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support Production Engineers with project execution and daily operational tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance project goals.
- Design and develop fixturing and tooling solutions.
- Create and revise factory floor layouts to optimize space utilization and workflow.
- Work directly with production cells and operators to observe processes and support improvements.
- Analyze assembly and unit production cycle times to identify bottlenecks.
- Measure and document results of implemented changes.
- Take on additional projects and duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current student with sophomore, junior, or senior status.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Commitment to integrity, respect, and accountability.
- Understanding of applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices.
- Ability to establish employment eligibility and complete background checks and pre-employment testing.
- Experience using CAD software is preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing processes, tooling design, or production layout planning is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, time studies, or continuous improvement methods is preferred.

- Compensation: $22-$26 per hour.
