About the role#
The Conectando Campeones Fellowship is a temporary opportunity for a student or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience with TNT Sports and U.S. Soccer. You will go behind the scenes of a major soccer event to learn how broadcasts are produced and stories are told. This role requires a proactive mindset, as you will be expected to identify opportunities to contribute to the team based on your own interests and skills.
What you'll do#
- Shadow on-air talent, reporters, producers, editors, and strategists.
- Assist with coverage of a U.S. Soccer match, including reporting, interviewing, and content creation.
- Develop and pitch story ideas for digital and social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Participate in the production and execution of live sports broadcasts.
- Contribute to strategy sessions regarding soccer culture and fan engagement.
- Build professional relationships across sports media, production, and talent departments.
- Take on-camera opportunities, such as hosting digital segments or conducting interviews.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, in speaking and writing.
- Current college junior or senior, or an early-career professional.
- Deep knowledge of both U.S. and international soccer, covering both men's and women's leagues.
- A strong interest in sports media, broadcasting, content creation, or strategy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, live-event environment with strong attention to detail.
- Confidence when interacting with athletes, coaches, and production staff.
- Experience with video production, reporting, or social media is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote role based in Georgia and New York.
- The fellowship is expected to last approximately 45 days.
- Travel is required for U.S. Soccer match activities.
- You must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to align with match and production needs.
