About the role#
This research internship or co-op role involves joining a multidisciplinary team of research scientists and engineers. You will work on an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving technology at scale. You are encouraged to publish your work at top machine learning, computer vision, and robotics conferences, contribute to the company blog, and release open-source projects.
What you'll do#
- Lead or contribute to AI research projects focused on developing new algorithms for autonomous vehicles, including perception, prediction, motion planning, controls, simulation, mapping, and localization.
- Design, implement, train, and optimize novel algorithms for use on self-driving vehicles and production systems.
- Collaborate with a team of research scientists and engineers to advance autonomous driving technology.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, or a similar technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in research or software engineering through internships, work experience, coding competitions, or published research projects and papers.
- A strong quantitative background with coursework or working knowledge in linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
- Proficiency in reading and writing code in Python or C++.
- A passion for self-driving technology and solving complex technical problems.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to work with a team.

- Modality: Remote and on-site options available.
- Commitment: Full-time internship or co-op on a rolling basis.
