As a PhD Research Scientist Intern, you will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers working to enable safe self-driving technology at scale. You will contribute to advancing autonomous vehicle capabilities through an AI-first approach.
What you'll do#
- Lead or contribute to AI research projects focused on developing new algorithms for autonomous vehicles, including perception, prediction, motion planning, controls, simulation, mapping, and localization.
- Design, implement, train, and optimize novel algorithms for self-driving vehicles and production systems.
- Prepare research for submission to top machine learning, computer vision, and robotics conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, and CVPR.
- Contribute to technical content, including company blog posts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated research or software engineering experience via internships, work experience, coding competitions, or published research.
- At least one publication in a top-tier machine learning, computer vision, or robotics conference.
- Strong quantitative background with coursework or working knowledge of linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
- Proficiency in reading and writing code in Python and/or C++.
