About the role#
Join a multidisciplinary team of Research Scientists and Engineers using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale. This internship is a full-time position for the Winter 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Lead or contribute to an AI research project by developing new algorithms for autonomous vehicles, covering areas such as perception, prediction, motion planning, controls, simulation, mapping, localization, and core AI.
- Design, implement, train, and optimize novel algorithms for self-driving vehicles and production systems.
- Prepare and submit work for publication at top machine learning, computer vision, and robotics conferences like NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, and CVPR.
- Contribute to the company blog.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, or a similar technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in research or software engineering through internships, work experience, coding competitions, or research projects.
- At least one publication in a top machine learning, computer vision, or robotics conference.
- A strong quantitative background with coursework or working knowledge of linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
- Proficiency in reading and writing code in Python or C++.
