About the role#
This internship position offers an opportunity to contribute to AI initiatives at Volvo Group. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop, deploy, and refine AI-powered solutions that address real-world business challenges. This role focuses on applying technical skills to create meaningful business impact within a collaborative engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI-powered solutions.
- Leverage Generative AI capabilities to solve business problems and build proof-of-concepts.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and opportunities for AI optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to develop and evaluate machine learning solutions.
- Conduct rigorous testing of AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness.
- Maintain clear documentation of development activities, model performance, and technical changes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline.
- Completion of at least 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies through coursework, projects, research, or previous internships.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
