About the role#
The Accounting & Finance Internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting, financial systems, and internal controls. You will support the team with day-to-day activities, month-end close procedures, and financial reporting while building a foundation in accounting principles. This is a 10-week, full-time program running from June 7 to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with general ledger account reconciliations and collect supporting documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including schedule preparation.
- Prepare journal entries and related calculations.
- Maintain accounting records and ensure documentation is organized.
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify and research discrepancies.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions.
- Participate in special projects to improve accounting processes and reporting.
- Complete a group project and present your findings to management.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Rising senior status.
- Completion of introductory accounting coursework is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and solve problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Initiative, curiosity, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Stamford, Connecticut.
- Interns are expected to be on-site for the full 10-week program.
- Business hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
