About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation center pivot technology. You will report to a Technical Lead and gain hands-on experience by designing, developing, and testing embedded firmware and software. You will work within a cross-functional team to support the creation of embedded solutions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with product managers, hardware engineers, and software engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop, integrate, and test firmware or software components for embedded systems.
- Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and validating system behavior across hardware and software interfaces.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for designs, code, tests, and findings.
- Participate in design reviews, team discussions, and iterative development activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of embedded systems programming.
- Programming experience in C and/or C++.
- Familiarity with RTOS, kernels, device drivers, interrupts, and memory management.
- Understanding of microcontrollers, processors, and hardware-software interfaces.
- Ability to read basic schematics and use test equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, or wireless connectivity.
- Experience with source control and development tools including Git, compilers, and IDEs.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Academic or personal project experience with embedded firmware, sensors, motor controls, or IoT devices is preferred.
