AI & Innovation Intern

About the role#

The Utah Jazz is seeking an AI & Innovation Intern to support the development and scaling of an internal AI Studio. This role focuses on building, testing, and implementing practical AI solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making across various departments, including Partnerships, Marketing, Ticketing, and Arena Operations. This is a part-time, on-site position expected to last for approximately 10 months.

What you'll do#

• Build and test internal AI tools, including GPTs and copilots, to help employees access information and automate repetitive tasks.
• Assist in creating internal analytics copilots powered by Snowflake data.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI platforms, tools, and vendors, including testing models like ChatGPT and Claude.
• Support the development and execution of AI pilot programs and iterate on solutions based on user feedback.
• Create documentation, prompt libraries, and implementation guides to establish repeatable frameworks for future projects.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and innovation.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.
• Ability to learn new technologies independently.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience building custom GPTs, AI workflows, or automations; basic understanding of Snowflake, JSON, APIs, or prompt engineering.

• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time, 25-30 hours per week.
• Term: Approximately 10 months.
• Compensation: Paid internship.
