Video Editor Intern

About the role#

The Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth are seeking a Video Editor Intern to join the creative services post-production team. This role focuses on editing a variety of video content, including hype videos, interviews, and short-form pieces for the sports franchises. You will work on projects from concept to completion, contributing to the creative voice of the team while gaining experience in a professional sports production environment.

What you'll do#

• Edit videos for the Utah Jazz or Utah Mammoth, including event recaps and interview segments.
• Sift, sort, and organize new footage to support the editing workflow.
• Assist junior and senior editors, creators, and designers with various video projects.
• Serve as a production assistant on-set and help tag and organize content following game nights and shoots.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment to solve production challenges.

What you'll need#

• A 4-year degree is preferred, with a background in Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Art, Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, or Computer Science.
• 0-1 years of demonstrated professional experience.
• Interest in the NBA and NHL is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a production environment.
• Flexibility in your schedule to assist with on-site productions, including weekends.
