About the role#
This is a summer research position focused on surgical oncology. You will work with a mentor to complete a systematic review. The role is remote and provides an introduction to academic research and manuscript preparation.
What you'll do#
- Write a Prospero protocol.
- Perform literature searches using PRISMA 2020 guidelines.
- Collect and organize research data.
- Learn basic statistical analysis techniques.
- Follow the steps to draft a manuscript.
- Complete weekly tasks and communicate regularly with your mentor.
- Collaborate to troubleshoot research challenges.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student enrolled at Upstate Medical University.
- You must have approval for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate.

- Location: Syracuse, New York (Remote work).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Pay: $17 per hour.
