About the role#
The University of Utah is hiring a Case Manager for Student Rights & Responsibilities. This full-time role facilitates the student accountability process and supports the well-being of the campus community. You will report to the Assistant Director and work on-site in Salt Lake City. This position involves managing sensitive information while helping students navigate university policies and resources.
What you'll do#
- Administer the student rights and responsibilities process, including investigating and adjudicating potential violations of Policy 6-400.
- Provide a continuum of case management for Student Support cases, which includes assessment, planning, and monitoring complex situations.
- Meet with students to evaluate issues, provide support, and assist with social service referrals.
- Utilize risk rubrics to identify concerning behaviors and implement appropriate interventions.
- Facilitate trainings and presentations for the campus community regarding reporting and intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation within electronic database systems.
- Coordinate with campus departments, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent application of policies.
- Contribute to annual reports by tracking behavioral trends and presenting data to stakeholders.
- Administer unpaid parking citation procedures.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 6 years of progressively responsible management experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven conflict resolution abilities.
- Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to work autonomously in a high-traffic environment.
- Capacity to speak effectively in front of diverse audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with professionals across various disciplines.
- A strong commitment to working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and protected groups.
- A desire to contribute to student success and educational achievement.
Location & details#
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Work Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Compensation: $62,525 per year.
- Term: Rolling.
