About the role#
The Student Worker Research assistant supports faculty-led research agendas. This role involves assisting with specific projects, grant applications, and journal articles. You will work under the supervision of a lead faculty member to gain experience in the research process.
What you'll do#
- Complete training for the protection of research subjects.
- Review previous work on the assigned research agenda.
- Compile and enter data into Excel, Access, or SPSS.
- Distribute, collect, and enter survey data.
- Conduct evidence-based searches on specific topics.
- Assist faculty with scheduling and distributing lab activities.
- Help with the consent process and manage email communication.
- Organize and store research documents.
- Complete literature reviews and create annotated bibliographies.
- Proofread and edit research documents for accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an OTD graduate level degree program.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Good standing with the University.
- Strong professional writing, editorial, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve issues.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: 11 USD per hour.
- Hours: Approximately 7 hours per week, with up to 15 hours possible with authorization.
