About the role#
The Co-op Coordinator supports the Experiential Learning Hub by managing employer relationships and guiding students through the co-operative education program. You will work with the Arts portfolio to ensure students gain professional experience while helping the university expand its industry presence.
What you'll do#
- Develop new employer partnerships and maintain existing ones to increase co-op opportunities.
- Market and promote the university and its co-op programs across various economic sectors.
- Prepare students for their first work terms through workshops and recruitment events.
- Conduct work term visits to monitor student performance and learning outcomes.
- Provide guidance on career development, job search strategies, and employability skills.
- Advise students on workplace accommodations and employment barriers to support a diverse student body.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in a related field.
- At least two years of experience in employer development, relationship management, marketing, career coaching, or experiential education.
- Strong knowledge of job markets relevant to co-op programs.
- A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Knowledge of co-operative education, labour market analysis, or career counselling is an asset.
