About the role#
University Hospitals is hiring a Student Nurse for a per diem role at Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Ohio. You will work under the direction of an RN to provide care to patients and families. This position is an opportunity to gain clinical experience while you complete your nursing education.
What you'll do#
- Provide safe and efficient care tailored to patient age.
- Assist with daily living activities and hygiene.
- Collect vital signs and perform point of care testing including EKGs, bladder scanning, and glucose monitoring.
- Monitor patients in restraints.
- Document your observations and interventions clearly.
- Participate in quality improvement efforts.
- Build positive relationships with patients, families, and your coworkers.
- Focus on your own learning and professional growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor of Nursing program.
- Successful completion of a Registered Nursing Fundamentals course.
- Upload your most recent transcripts with your application.
- Education verification is required if you receive a job offer.
- Prior experience in a practicum, internship, or as an STNA, PCNA, or NAII is preferred.
