About the role#
Ulteig is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. This role supports both construction and design projects, including municipal street reconstruction, county structure replacement, sign replacements, and bridge design. You will work on projects that require adherence to client-driven standards, schedules, and budgets.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and analyze engineering systems.
- Prepare plans for grading, erosion control, traffic control, pavement marking, street lighting, underground utilities, and pavement design.
- Develop specifications that meet state and municipality requirements.
- Perform construction observation duties and coordinate on-site materials testing.
- Maintain project records, construction quantities, checklists, and daily reports.
- Apply creative problem-solving and take ownership of design tasks.
- Perform work in both office and field settings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- A working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley Open Roads Designer is a plus.
