About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at UDig, you will join a delivery team to work on active client engagements. This 8-week summer program focuses on real-world consulting experience where you will ship working software. You will partner with consultants and technical leaders who provide mentorship, code reviews, and career guidance.
What you'll do#
- Write clean, well-documented, and well-tested code for client projects.
- Gain experience with modern development stacks, cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and DevOps tools.
- Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions with consultants.
- Apply feedback to improve your engineering skills.
- Help debug, refactor, and document existing systems.
- Contribute to data models and system integrations.
- Research emerging technologies and best practices relevant to your project work.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Foundational programming knowledge in an object-oriented or modern language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- A working understanding of data structures, algorithms, and version control using Git.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset and a passion for technology consulting.
- Exposure to relational databases, SQL, REST APIs, or cloud services is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 8-week paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in a hybrid work model.
- You must be able to work from our Nashville, TN or Richmond, VA office hubs.
