About the role#
We are looking for a Process Engineering Intern to join our team for a 12 to 14 week period during Summer 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sterling, Virginia. You will work on projects focused on manufacturing improvements, automation, and robotics integration. You will also participate in internal design reviews and present project updates to the local leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Implement manufacturing process improvements and automation.
- Collaborate with program mentors to identify the best methods for automating processes.
- Initiate and update process documentation, including work instructions and training guides.
- Lead capital project efforts to resolve production capacity and technology capability issues.
- Participate in internal design reviews to ensure compatibility of processing techniques.
What you'll need#
- You are a current college junior pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience applying engineering concepts to solve problems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Capability to design and analyze experiments using statistical tools.
