About the role#
This internship provides practical training and experience within the Community Lending department at Trustmark Bank. You will support department operations through special projects and administrative tasks while gaining exposure to the financial services industry. The program includes community service, networking opportunities, and training sessions designed to build your professional foundation.
What you'll do#
- Complete special projects in collaboration with department managers.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, mail distribution, and office supply management.
- Help Community Lending Specialists request and review loan documentation.
- Guide applicants through the documentation process to support timely loan requests.
- Assist in coordinating marketing strategies and financial literacy workshops.
- Attend training classes, community service events, and internal information sessions.
- Present a summary of your projects and department experience at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or MBA student.
- Major in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a minimum 3.00 GPA.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information and perform basic math or accounting functions.
- Capacity to work well within a team and follow direction.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to give presentations.

- Location: Pearl, Mississippi.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027, to July 30, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- This is a paid internship position.
