About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in fixed income investing. You will work with the Head of Credit Research and senior analysts to learn about corporate and structured credit. You will gain exposure to the management of over 30 billion dollars in assets. This role is part of the Emerging Professional Program, which helps students transition into potential careers at TruStage.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior analysts on corporate earnings reviews, private placement new issues, and sector reviews.
- Gather and organize data for various reports and projects.
- Prepare written earnings reports.
- Present portions of a private placement new issue at an investment committee meeting.
- Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Spend your final two weeks preparing a presentation on an investment recommendation or sector review for the Fixed Income team.
What you'll need#
- You are an undergraduate student with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- You have strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- You communicate clearly and work well with others.
- You possess intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn.
- You have advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build dynamic models and reports.
- A major in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred.
- Experience with data tools like Bloomberg, visualization software like Tableau or PowerBI, and programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, or Java is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools like Co-Pilot is preferred.
- Candidates who have obtained or are willing to obtain a CFA designation are preferred.

- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid.
