About the role#

The Student Radiology Technologist role involves supporting the Radiology team in screening, positioning, and imaging patients. You will work under the supervision of a Radiology Technologist to produce diagnostic images following department protocols. This is a part-time, contingent position with a rotating shift.

What you'll do#

• Screen patients for safety, including verifying patient identity, clinical history, and exam orders.
• Perform exams using proper techniques and views based on patient condition and protocols.
• Complete patient documentation in accordance with hospital and department policies.
• Provide quality patient care by addressing age-specific, developmental, and cultural needs.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers, patients, and visitors through effective communication.
• Assist with support functions, such as reviewing patient schedules and monitoring department supplies.

What you'll need#

• Completion of the first year of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and current enrollment in the second year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to pass the ARRT (R) certification within 6 months of completing the Radiologic Technology program.
• Ability to commit to the role for a maximum of 18 months.
