About the role#
The Claim Professional Development Program Internship offers an opportunity to gain business experience within the insurance industry. You will receive on-the-job training and participate in core assignments to build your skills in claims handling. This is a full-time, paid position based in Diamond Bar, California. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured onboarding process to learn company systems and protocols.
- Gain exposure to Personal and Business Insurance claims of basic to moderate complexity.
- Investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims while learning effective strategies.
- Estimate damage and determine applicable coverage for losses.
- Provide customer service through clear verbal and written communication.
- Observe the daily work of a Claim Professional through desk and ride-alongs.
- Partner with a manager or mentor to complete project work and develop your professional knowledge.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor degree, either currently in progress or already obtained.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Academic background in Business Administration or a related business discipline is preferred.
