About the role#
The Claim Professional Development Program Internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will work with a manager or mentor to build your knowledge of claims through core assignments and project work. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling application process.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured onboarding process to learn Travelers systems and protocols.
- Gain exposure to personal and business insurance claims of basic to moderate complexity.
- Investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims while determining coverage, scoping losses, and completing damage estimates.
- Observe claim professionals through desk work and ride-alongs.
- Develop foundational skills in customer service, problem-solving, and analysis.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a Bachelor's program.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry.
- Suggested majors include Business Administration, Business Management, Risk Management, or related business disciplines.

- This role is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- The position requires on-site work.
