About the role#
The Claim Professional Development Program Internship offers a look into the insurance industry. You will gain business experience through training, client contact, and loss assessment. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured onboarding process to learn company systems and protocols.
- Work with Personal and Business Insurance claims of basic to moderate complexity.
- Learn strategies for investigating, negotiating, and resolving claims.
- Develop skills in determining coverage, estimating damage, and documenting incident details.
- Observe experienced Claim Professionals through desk work and ride-alongs.
- Collaborate with a designated manager or mentor on core assignments.
- Build a foundation in customer service, analytics, and problem-solving.
- Complete project work and other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a degree program.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
- Suggested majors include Business Administration, Business Management, Risk Management and Insurance, or Liberal Arts with a business focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
