About the role#
The Summer 2027 Tax Internship at Topel Forman provides hands-on training and experience in taxation, tax workpaper documentation, and related projects. Interns are paired with a mentor, typically a tax supervisor or manager, and a peer buddy to support professional growth. You will work on real compliance projects that directly benefit clients and the firm, gaining experience similar to that of a first-year associate.
What you'll do#
- Prepare a variety of individual tax returns, including high net worth and multi-state filings.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current individual tax laws and tax preparation software.
- Identify and communicate tax and accounting issues to senior associates, managers, and partners.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.
- Build professional communication skills through business writing and collaboration with other professionals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an Accounting major.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

- Term: Summer 2027, from mid-May through mid-August.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Compensation: Paid at $32 per hour.
