About the role#
This Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) internship focuses on the Compute Platform team, which supports all Big Data services and products across the company. You will work on a team responsible for the reliability of major data warehouse products, services, and query engines, including ClickHouse, Spark, Presto, and Doris. This 12-week program provides industry exposure and hands-on experience in maintaining system reliability and performance.
What you'll do#
- Uphold Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure all service level objectives for Data Platform services are met.
- Respond promptly to system outages and troubleshoot service incidents.
- Analyze service performance and reliability patterns to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
- Implement proactive measures to prevent service disruptions and automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability considerations into the software lifecycle and forecast infrastructure capacity needs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- In-depth understanding of Linux, computer networking, and databases.
- Proficiency in common SRE/DevOps open-source toolsets, system monitoring tools, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Experience or familiarity with technologies such as ClickHouse, Hadoop, Doris, Spark, Presto, and Kubernetes.
- Strong coding skills in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, Shell, Java, or Go.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2026.
