About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship focused on retail management within our store network. You will gain exposure to the daily operations of a multi-million-dollar retail business while developing leadership skills. The program is designed for students interested in a long-term career with our company. High-performing interns may be considered for future offers to join our management training program upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Lead, develop, and motivate a diverse team of Associates.
- Shadow and learn from store, district, and regional leaders.
- Execute merchandise standards, including shop setup, seasonal planning, and visual presentation.
- Drive business results by monitoring sales reports, merchandise turns, and key performance indicators.
- Manage operational processes such as scheduling, labor planning, and performance management.
- Complete an operational project and deliver a final presentation to executive leadership.
- Participate in company-wide networking events, volunteering, and an executive speaker series.
- Gain exposure to loss control, environmental sustainability, and health and safety initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2-year or 4-year degree program, specifically rising seniors for 4-year programs.
- Interest in a long-term career within our retail stores.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively.
- Analytical problem-solving abilities and entrepreneurial curiosity.
- Leadership experience and the flexibility to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
- Availability for the full duration of the summer program.
- Ability to work a flexible, on-site schedule that includes nights and weekends.
