About the role#
This internship offers a hands-on experience where you rotate through several departments to explore different lines of insurance and sales. You will gain exposure to areas including employee benefits, benefit administration technology, business insurance, personal insurance, and financial services. This program provides a mix of collaborative and independent work, allowing you to contribute to team projects and cross-functional initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through various departments to learn business operations and insurance industry practices.
- Participate in department meetings and work with multiple teams to address client needs.
- Collaborate on problem-solving using an analytic approach.
- Use technology to generate internal resources and external deliverables.
- Complete an insurance-based curriculum to build a foundational knowledge base.
- Observe client meetings and sales activities to understand the full sales cycle.
- Develop your written and verbal presentation skills.
- Participate in company events and philanthropy initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, entering your junior or senior year.
- Preferred majors include insurance, finance, business administration, or sales.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work as a self-starter.
- Experience demonstrating technical or client service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel.
- A genuine interest in teamwork and building professional relationships.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Deer Park, Illinois.
- The program runs from June 1st through July 30th, 2027.
- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- This role is on-site.
