About the role#
The Inland Real Estate Group is seeking a Compliance Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in corporate compliance, due diligence, and business operations. You will work alongside our Compliance and National Accounts teams to ensure business practices align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Maintain records of compliance reviews and due diligence activities.
- Update and organize standard operating procedures and compliance documentation.
- Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Assist with internal and external audits by gathering and organizing supporting documentation.
- Ensure audit materials are complete and accurate.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies.
- Conduct public record and media searches.
- Research companies, individuals, and business entities.
- Analyze background information and compile findings into actionable reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Junior standing at the time of application.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

- Location: Downers Grove, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
