About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at The Exploration Company, you will work on our crewed vehicle development. You will help design, develop, test, and improve the systems and technology that drive our space transportation missions. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to real-world engineering projects under the guidance of a mentor.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and improve products, systems, or processes.
- Contribute to real-world engineering projects and deliverables.
- Develop, test, debug, and document technical solutions, tools, or prototypes.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to support engineering decisions.
- Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and technical discussions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project updates.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Three months or more of relevant engineering experience through internships, co-op programs, or industry projects.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 12 weeks.

- This internship is based on-site in Los Angeles, California.
- The term begins in January 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- Housing and relocation are not provided.
