About the role#
As an engineering intern at The Exploration Company, you will work on crewed vehicle development. You will contribute to our mission by designing, developing, testing, and improving aerospace systems and technology. This is a full-time, paid position based in Houston.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and improve products, systems, or processes.
- Contribute to real-world engineering projects under the guidance of a mentor.
- Develop, test, debug, and document technical solutions, tools, or prototypes.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to support engineering decisions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project updates.
- Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and technical discussions.
- Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Three months or more of relevant engineering experience through internships, co-ops, or industry projects.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status.

- Location: Houston, TX.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks beginning January 2027.
- Housing and relocation are not provided.
