About the role#
As a Government Relations Intern, you will support the team in working with lawmakers, regulators, and trade associations. You will gain experience in policy research, legislative analysis, and stakeholder engagement. This role is part of a 10-week summer program that includes training, mentorship, and project work.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and flag news, legislation, hearings, and regulatory developments.
- Summarize congressional and state legislative hearings.
- Prepare written political updates and assist with PAC Board presentations.
- Research and analyze proposed legislation to determine its impact on DTCC.
- Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders to capture notes and track follow-ups.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, History, Economics, Business Administration, or English.
- Expected graduation date in Spring 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
