About the role#
The Social Work Intern provides psychotherapy and support services in schools, homes, and community settings. You will work with students, parents, and school professionals to provide mental health assessments, individual and family therapy, and behavioral support. This is an unpaid, full-time internship opportunity located in Cleveland, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and provide psychotherapy services including mental health assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Manage a client caseload that includes therapeutic behavioral support.
- Complete all required agency documentation according to best practice standards.
- Integrate behavioral health services with the broader health needs of the client.
- Attend a minimum of one hour of supervision each week.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Active enrollment in a master's degree program for social work.
- Ability to obtain and maintain SWT status.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members.
