About the role#
The Systems Integration and Test Office (SITO) provides expertise in systems integration, technology insertion, and systems engineering applied to test campaign management. As a graduate intern, you will support technical and programmatic activities for satellite, launch vehicle, and ground systems. You will work alongside staff and program office personnel to contribute to the acquisition life cycle and mission success across various customers, including the U.S. Space Force, NASA, and commercial partners.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support systems engineering and integration efforts, including defining mission, hardware, software, and operational interfaces.
- Assist with high-level and detailed test planning, architecture, design, execution, and data evaluation.
- Conduct systems and systems-of-systems analysis and trade studies using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Develop and maintain design tools and models for constellation or architecture studies.
- Capture system requirements traceability within architecture models using Systems Modeling Language.
- Provide direct integration support to programs throughout the acquisition life cycle, including launch and operations.
- Assist in the requirements process for engineering models, simulations, test beds, and special test equipment.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited graduate program (Master’s or PhD) in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
- Relevant coursework or knowledge in complex system design, spacecraft subsystems, or integration.
- Proficiency with MS Office and collaboration tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Organizational and project management skills to balance conflicting time demands.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.

- Compensation: $32.00 to $38.00 per hour.
