About the role#
The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Software Tools and Assurance Engineering Grad Intern for the Software Tools and Assurance Department. This role is based on-site in El Segundo, California. You will work with an interdisciplinary team on research programs and technical projects. This internship provides training and mentorship while you contribute to software-centric initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Write and develop software for a variety of projects, with an emphasis on open-source languages.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on ongoing research or technical programs.
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to complete scientific and technical tasks.
- Coordinate efforts across internal and external organizations using strong communication and project management skills.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Master's degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks outside of the university term and return to your degree program afterward.
- Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Proficiency in Java, C/C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with full-stack web development, model-based software engineering, or Agile development.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Submission of academic transcripts.

- Location: El Segundo, CA (On-site).
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour.
