About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in quality systems and manufacturing processes. You will work directly with our team in San Antonio to support customer requirements, manage documentation, and assist with technical problem solving.
What you'll do#
- Manage customer concerns by investigating, assessing, and reporting on nonconforming products or processes.
- Prepare PPAP paperwork, review Customer Control Plans, and handle sample preparation.
- Participate in product focus team meetings as well as internal and external quality meetings.
- Support manufacturing through engineering reviews, process sheet updates, and technical troubleshooting.
- Conduct capability and gage studies while auditing the quality system.
- Implement corrective or preventative actions to resolve quality issues.
- Assist with weight calculations for the quote process and maintain accurate records.
- Apply knowledge of IATF system requirements to daily operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Engineering, Quality Systems Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Skills in data integration, software development, thermal management, and materials science are preferred.
