About the role#
This is a 3rd shift machinist internship focused on production grinding. You will work on-site in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is a temporary role that lasts for a maximum of two years.
What you'll do#
- Set up and operate internal, centerless, surface, external, thread, and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work.
- Perform complex grinding tasks on all types of equipment.
- Grind specific shapes including steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours, and threads.
- Configure truing devices for various thread forms.
- Select appropriate speeds, feeds, and grinding wheels to meet required tolerances.
- Use machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.

- Two years of production grinding experience or equivalent technical education.
