About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in human resources within the manufacturing sector. You will support the HR team in Muskegon, Michigan, during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support full-cycle recruiting by sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and preparing job offers.
- Handle onboarding tasks, including background checks, drug screens, and orientation sessions.
- Manage employee records, including I-9 forms and personnel files.
- Maintain HRIS data and process transactions within the learning management system.
- Assist employees with inquiries regarding pay, company policies, and benefits.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities.
- Prepare and document required HR reports.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience with presentations and persuasion.
- Knowledge of organizational behavior and general human resources topics.
- A self-driven approach and the ability to work across different organizational boundaries.
- Professional standards including business acumen, ethical judgment, and cultural awareness.
