About the role#
This undergraduate internship provides hands-on experience in cost accounting. You will work alongside finance and operations professionals to analyze cost structures, support budgeting, and improve financial reporting. What you'll do#
- Collect, analyze, and interpret cost data to support operational reporting needs.
- Prepare cost reports, variance analyses, and summaries to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cost models, standard costing processes, and inventory valuation support.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by compiling data and assisting in financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate records and support data entry into financial systems and company databases.
- Collaborate with teams in operations and procurement to clarify cost-related information.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting concepts.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data and identify discrepancies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems or ERP platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
