Business Development Intern

About the role#

Telesat is seeking a Business Development Intern to join the US Government Solutions team in Arlington, VA. This position provides hands-on experience within the satellite industry, supporting the team on various projects and initiatives while contributing to real-world challenges.

What you'll do#

• Conduct research tasks, including gathering and analyzing data.
• Support the Business Development team in organizing and executing project plans.
• Assist with administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organizing documentation.
• Utilize software tools to facilitate project work and team communication.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm ideas and contribute to project development.
• Stay informed on industry trends to provide fresh perspectives.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
