About the role#
This is a paid, 40-hour per week internship designed to provide a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in store management. Throughout the summer of 2027, you will work alongside mentors and store leaders to learn how to drive operational performance, manage department workloads, and lead a team. This role focuses on developing your leadership skills through daily practice and ongoing feedback.
What you'll do#
- Lead and motivate team members while driving sales results and store priorities.
- Teach, coach, train, and deliver performance feedback to team members.
- Manage department workloads to support business priorities and guest service goals.
- Recruit, select, and manage talent for hourly team members.
- Review business reporting and guest insights to troubleshoot and improve store operations.
- Assist guests on the sales floor and ensure a welcoming, safe environment.
- Present at daily huddles and organize daily tasks for your team.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in retail management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- The ability to learn and adapt to new technology and business systems.
- Effective communication skills and a helpful, welcoming attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Physical ability to lift or move merchandise weighing up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and operate handheld scanners or other equipment.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
