About the role#
This is a paid, 40-hour per week summer internship designed to provide a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will gain hands-on experience in store leadership, working closely with mentors to understand how our retail business functions. The program focuses on developing your management skills through daily operations, team leadership, and guest service initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Learn to drive guest experience while impacting store financial, team, and operational performance.
- Work alongside a mentor to understand how to lead a department effectively.
- Lead and motivate a team, drive sales results, and merchandise products.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and empowered to assist guests.
- Address team member concerns and remove hurdles to ensure smooth operations and goal attainment.
- Spend time on the salesfloor and in the backroom to align the team on daily business priorities.
- Partner with leaders to provide performance feedback, coaching, and training to team members.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to frequently lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Positions are available in Moore, Norman, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- Pay range is $25.00 - $26.00 per hour.
