About the role#
The Store Executive Intern program is a paid, 40-hour per week hands-on training experience designed to prepare you for store leadership. As an intern, you will receive a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working closely with mentors and team members to understand retail business operations. You will spend your time leading on the sales floor and in the backroom, identifying store priorities, and driving guest service.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the sales floor and in the backroom leading team members and aligning on daily business priorities.
- Partner with leaders regarding team member performance by providing coaching and feedback.
- Provide summaries of results and priorities to the leadership team.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and empowered to assist guests.
- Participate in all internship program training activities, developmental opportunities, and events.
- Work alongside an Executive Team Lead mentor to gain an understanding of department leadership.
- Support daily operations, including stocking shelves, building displays, and maintaining a safe environment.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as climbing ladders and lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other store technology.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Fort Myers, Naples, Estero, and Port Charlotte, Florida.
- The program takes place during Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, on-site, and paid position with a pay range of $24.50 to $25.50 per hour.
